'You said you won't play holi! Then why are your cheeks pink?',his mother asked him as he came home.
Nothing! he said as he gulped his glass of warm milk and rushed to his room.
He sat down with his brown diary. He sharpened his Natraj pencil and collected the shavings in a box.
'Today is holi. I don't like colors. They are so yucky. And I had a lot of hw to do. I was finding it hard to solve the multplicatin sums, so I went to her home. She made me solve the sums and gave me a cream biscuit to eat. When I did not do even one sum rong, she kissed me on my cheeks. She had that pink color all over her face, and a little stuck to mine when she kissed me. I will tell all in school tomorrow that Miss kulshrestha kissed me. I think she loves me!' the seven year old Abhi scribbled as his cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink. *********************************************
She was laughing uncontrollablly as he read out from his diary. She looked like a master piece painted from the pallate of an artist in the wild. 'So she was the only one who ever coloured you? And you thought your teacher loved you?And you have never played holi ever since ',she laughed again.
The echoes of her laughter shook a few shades of her cheek and he could see her milky cheeks turn red with jealousy. 'Please! I was just seven then! And I did not know I would be marrying her daughter twenty years later! I am sorry...',he said sheepishly.
'Oh really?',she said her face turning red as she came closer.
It was another Holi outside. The city was splashed with every shade of the planet. Yet his cheeks turned only the shade of pink.
The gulaal on the table lay untouched.
We boys have not the right to flirt with everyone for fun thing,
Trust me,we are doing the mistake that is the worst thing,
When your love leave you for your mistake you have done so far,
You will cry my boy and realise the love that she gave you lier,
It was very easy to gain the trust of a girl you love really,
But dont you ever think of pain she goes through when you flirt with other girls seriously,
You want her to talk only with you Everytime,
And look at yourself, what you do to her each time,
You broke her into pieces again, due to all those stupid things,
Shattred her once again,it is really annoying,
You know you have a heart that only beats for her,
So why you talk to other girls if you only want her,
She doesn't want more from you stupid,
Just your hand and all your love my kid,
She could not trust you again, you have to gain it now,
Do everything for her just dont hurt her from now,
It doesn't matter how much you will cry after leaving her,
Trust me,you will loose the moon while roaming into stars,
"Just look at the moon of your life continuously,
There is nothing which is precious to me more than her seriously,
If i am lacking anything, slap me on the face my lord,
Just dont leave me here,i can not live without you, swear god,
I can not imagine my future without you in it,
I will break in pieces if u left without noticing it"

She pulled her hand towards the back and held the crown like an arrow on the bow, and threw it far away in the sea with force. The crown spun on its axis and splashed into the sea, drowning and getting lost in the course of vigorous waves.
As she threw it away, she felt a sudden lightness cover her heart.
Surprised by her own feeling, she looked at Abhishek. Now I understand why you got this flower crown for me.
He smiled, smugly.
And just that way, her life dairy got another entry.
Today I realized that past moments are like stale flowers. We cannot get the fresh ones until we let go of the stale ones. Even if we do, the stale ones would turn the fresh ones just like them. For anything too old is stale, we need to let them go. We need to keep our hands empty of past just so that we can embrace our present. Cherish the memories but never hold onto something that is gone and that has served its purpose – be it something beautiful or ugly. For life is meant to live in ‘now’ and not ‘then’. _______________
