Are you worried about telling your new friends about your diabetes? Worry no more!
We know it can be difficult to know who to tell and how to tell them. But don’t shy away, be confident about it!
Just know that it really isn’t a big deal and that your health is much more important than letting any embarrassment get in the way.
Nobody will think badly of you because you have diabetes. They most likely won’t understand what diabetes is and how it affects your life. Send your friends over to this website where they can learn all about diabetes http://typeonenation.org/
Telling your friends can help you too! They can be on the watch for hypos and even know what to do if you’re having one, and they can also spread awareness!
You’ll even be more comfortable doing injections and blood checks if you know that your friends understand diabetes and why you need to do them. #unitype#type1diabetes#typeonenation

21/3. Oh no!
A random high blood sugar this morning out of nowhere. Managed to correct it and had great levels for the rest of the day though. It's funny - a few years ago this BGL would have been normal for me. These days anything above 10 is abnormal...so I'm happy with my progress!
Post breakfast porridge reading of 7.2 🌸 I woke up at 6.9 so only a 0.3 mmol/L rise which is pretty good going for me 🤗 I thought would try out these Quaker Oats that supposedly support your immune system, time will tell!
Sensor couldn’t quite last a full 4 weeks this time.. 24 days.. still an achievement though I guess! #sensorchange#2hourwarmup#g5#type1diabetes I really don’t know how I’m ever going to live without this little fellow! 💙
