Wanna know a easy way to spot a Fake cigar? With counterfeit Cuban cigars all over Instagram and the world these days it can be tough to remember all the little "tells" each brand may have to authenticate if the cigar is real or not... Here is a little secret nobody talks about... Look at the "foot" of the cigar. If the foot of the cigar is all ONE color there is a good chance the cigar is fake. You see a cigar is a blend of different types of tobacco that appear as different colors or shades. IF the foot of the cigar is showing all one color there is a good chance its fake. You see counterfeiters don't have time to blend cigars, they just stuff their cigars full of short filler cheap tobacco and move on. Using all one type of leaf, often from just one large bundle of tobacco. ⠀
Another little tip you can also notice from the foot is the LACK of stems. Larger cigar stems are not pleasant to smoke and must be removed by hand. This is a skillful and time consuming process. Something counterfeiters are very unlikely to do. Here I have taken a close up of a REAL cigar and you can clearly see the different types of tobacco (colors) worked into the blend. #TheMoreYouKnow#GotRare
