Old mindset or dieting mindset : If I eat these cupcakes I have to do 1000 burpees, 3 hours of cardio, and eat only kale salad for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Then I have to start all over again. Why don't I have any willpower? Why can't I make this work???
Do I like cupcakes? If yes, eat the cupcake
If no, don't eat the cupcake. -
No one ruins their goals by eating one cupcake and no one achieves them by eating kale salad one time.
There is no food that is " good " or "bad". No food makes you superior or inferior, more or less deserving of health and wellness if you eat it or you dont. Eating organic isn't the fast pass to heaven and those twinkles you're hiding are not your first class ticket to weight loss hell.
It's all just food. I promise. Sometimes what you eat gets you closer to your goals ( whatever they are ) and sometimes it doesnt. What you think about what you're eating or not eating and the actions you take as a result of those thoughts do matter.
Progress comes from consistent and intentional practice of the skills and habits that allow you results and peace of mind. Yes you can have both.
No you're not a bad person if this is hard for you.
