"We hurry through the so-called boring things
in order to attend to that which we deem
more important, interesting.
Perhaps the final freedom will be a recognition that
everything in every moment is "essential"
and that nothing at all is "important."
By Helen M. Luke
I got sucked into a debate today. I felt passionate about the subject, but once it was finished I felt drained.
I took myself for a little wander and though the streets of London are teeming with people, I managed to find a little mental space.
I realised that the debate had focussed on a negative subject, with negative words and no solution had been sought or found... no wonder I felt drained!
My small moment of ice cold London served to put things back into perspective.
I want to always be part of the solution and would rather invest energy there, than on breeding further negativity.
Breathe, focus and re-centre.
