To me strength is so much more then the weight I can lift, the amount of push ups I can perform or the muscle mass I have. Strength to me is: 😖 Facing you fears despite personal anxieties. I am petrified of trains. The thought of trains makes my stomach bubble. However, there’s a wedding show I really want to/ need to go to in London, so I have to embrace my anxieties. 💃🏼Overcoming something you never thought you couldn’t. Once upon a time I thought I never thought I’d allow anyone else to cook or prepare food for me. After many long years I have finally let go. My partner If first years cooked me my first meal this month! 💭Listening to your gut and using your intuition. Nasty niggling noises in the back of the mind can be extremely hard to shake, when you are able to ignore those noises and do what you intuition tells you, it’s so refreshing. 🏃🏼♀️Being persistent and never giving up on what you want. Many times I have been ready to give up with education, fitness and general life. But I never have, Ive been persistent and ending up reaching my goal. 💖Knowing when you need YOU time. Self care is not selfish, it is necessary! Remember to fit in one activity daily for yourself. ✨Admitting when you need help. I use to put on a brave face for many years but this brave face did not hide my issues. I was full of anxiety which came out in such anger and aggression. When I started to discuss my issues my anger and aggression decreased. 👋🏼Accepting that you will not always be in control, you will not be able to change certain situations or people. The sooner you accept these things the happier you will be!
What does strength mean to you?!
