Feeling a bit better today so we took some time and devoted it to obedience this evening. Got a fair bit done today overall (cleaning, groceries, etc.) but feeling pretty sore from it. Hoping I’ll keep up this energy and we can start to get back into a proper training routine- I’ve been slacking from not feeling well, but hopefully I’ll manage to find a few ways to keep up the training even when my energy is low. 🖤
Piper: Today I went to my first non-pet friendly store! This means I went on my first outing as a service dog! In the state of Michigan service dogs that are in training do not have access rights to stores, so we must practice our public access skills and tasks in pet friendly stores first. Today we went to @michaelsstores where I confidently walked through the automatic doors, around the store, and did some people watching with my girl, Dad, and trainer before we called it a day. My girl and trainer were so proud of the confidence that I have gained when working around automatic doors, people popping into aisles, children, and entrances. These are all things that I used to question before, but with a lot of training and hard work my girl and I are overcoming these obstacles. Service dogs just like any other dogs have things that they will be less confident about, but as a team we can work together to be even stronger! #servicepuppiper#opietheservicedog#servicedogintraining#vizsla#vizslapuppy#wirehairedvizsla

Ollie’s: Water 💦 (obviously)
Mine: My parents recently did something extremely generous for my husband and I! I’m so thankful for them and their generosity. I don’t feel comfortable saying specifically what, but you guys, it was SO amazing!
