You may not be able to tell, but that there half eaten meal was a nice steak with a blue cheese sauce. Oh my goodness it was delicious.
I found a 30 minute cook book full of recipes in the thrift store (love the thrift store btw) and I vowed to James that I need to start using my cookbooks more. So here is a start to that vow. The whole meal was delicious. We had a salad with blue cheese crumble zucchini and green bell pepper mixed in. Then we had baked sweet potato and the blue cheese steak. Mmm mmm mmm. So good.
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp brandy
150 mL heavy cream
5 oz blue cheese crumbles.
Add the butter and oil in pan and set on high. This is a cool tip I learned to sear the steaks. Cook on each side for 1 minute. Then lower heat to medium and cook 2-3 minutes more on each side or to liking. Remove steaks to heated plate. Add brandy and cream to what’s left in pan and bring to boil. Then set on low heat and add blue cheese until melted in.
Then wallla! You have delicious steaks!! Let me know how it goes below ⬇️
