Today we celebrate the “Day of Silence” or in Balinese it’s called “Nyepi”. It’s a Hindu celebration which is mainly celebrated in Bali, and also a public holiday in Indonesia. On this day, the Balinese Hindus stay in their home to meditate, pray, and stay in silence for self-reflection ✨. Today people in Bali are not allowed to light fires/ or electricity, to work, to travel, and for some, even to talk or eat at all. This is what the Balinese Hindus do to also create connections with their Gods, and also the earth 🌿 If you’re in Bali, thank you for supporting this day by paying respect to the local rules to keep this day pure and holy 🙏🏻 “Rahajeng rahina Nyepi caka 1940”
