I will be the first to admit that working out on your own is NOT easy. If you are already lacking motivation, how are you going to convince and push yourself to do anything? I am a firm believer in have an accountability partner when I am trying to stay on task and meet my goals. Even I have a workout partner when I go to the gym. It's not something I can just do on my own. While my motivation is high, I still sometimes have my days where I just don't feel like it!
Bootcamp classes are most effective if you are willing to do your homework. You have to eat right. The exercise is the easy (or easier) part, but once you leave class, you have to keep that same work ethic to control what to put in your mouth and what not to put in your mouth. Bootcamp is not magic, you have to work hard and give everything you've got! Even taking supplements will not be effective if you are not eating right.
Bootcamp can help build your endurance. It will help strengthen your muscles and help them to grow; growing muscles burn fat. Bootcamp will help you burn calories. Cellulite will go away, I know because I've had it, but you have to lunge, squat, and do cardio. Three days a week is enough, but adding two extra days of 30 minute, sweat inducing cardio would be great. It's not just the outer appearance, but the inside as well. Cardio is great for your heart, moods and stress.
YOU have to WANT it. When you look in the mirror and see things you'd like to change, you have to WANT to WORK to make those changes! Bootcamp is designed as a group setting so you can feed off the energy and motivation of others! If he/she can do it, then so can I! So, stop analyzing and start working!
Hope to see you in classes somewhere soon!
