#waterline & sunshine 🌞 & good company 👯& chill 🏖️& water 🌊& sup & water police 😖. Falling in the water & coming out in infinite loop. For hours . At the end of the day you take the train back to Budapest and you suddenly realize you are not able to move cause you are so tired 😜😂. This is what I call the best sport ever, you just simply enjoy it and don't event realize how much time passed. The best type of slackline party ever 💛💛💛. Do you agree? #gárdony#velenceitó
Spinal Strength PSA:
EVERY day is Spine Day at BodyTribe in my group classes.
Here are two fine examples of spinal stability, strength and awareness happening in my 6pm group.
Letty's doing what we've come to call "Desert Lizard Push Ups"-- there really is a little lizard that lives in the desert that picks up opposite limbs to cool off its little feet.
For Letty, who'd just done a weighted plank with that sandbag behind her on her back, it's really about holding her spine stable in neutral position while lifting her opposite leg and arm (not easy to do) and throwing a push up in for added "fun". Again, all while holding neutral spine position, recruiting her core spinal musculature.
Michael's doing the "Sushi Roll", rolling from a hollow body hold (flexed) position to a full body extension 'Superman' position without relaxing or cheating and twisting at the torso to turn over.
There is every modification possible available to start to learn how to do these, and yeah, plank holds are a start.
I start to trust them less when they are held for exorbitant amounts of time, as has been a popular fitness trend.
Instead I recommend learning proper shoulder positioning with your hands and chest aligned (so often the hands are more aligned with shoulders), making sure your back is parallel to the ground and then practicing strong recruitment of your glutes, abs and postural muscles so the plank is more intense and less about winning the plank-holding contests.
You don't wanna just stack your arms and try to stay up there.
Train your nervous system to recruit everything at once and hold tight.
Then you're ready to retrain your push-up holding that strong plank.
It's sorta everything❤️
