Music and season
As long as I remember myself, I`ve always categorized albums by season. There are winter and autumn albums as well as spring and summer ones. It makes perfect sense, right?
Spring albums radiate warmth. They are full of life. It might not be the happiest one, but it is a life lived to its fullest with all the ups and downs. They`re like an aunt who you haven't seen since you were five who decided to come by unexpectedly. She used to dance in a strip club, drink in the morning and had a punk boyfriend but now she has a tiny dog in her pink bag and helps to paint walls in your room. “The Velvet Underground & Nico, by The VU, “Transformer” by Lou Reed, “Lust for Life” by Iggy Pop are my spring albums.
Summer albums are British. Must be that punk boyfriend of your aunt who came around looking for her. He might seem rough, but he's a poet deep down. There is really nothing punk about these particular albums, but they seem to be very fun to be around. Oasis, The Stone Roses, Blur, and Pulp are in this category.
My recommendations are: “All Things Must Pass” George Harrison, “The Rolling Stones” The Rolling Stones.
The best part is when I listen to these albums and can turn back time for at least 45 minutes.
Do you categorise albums? What are yours categories?
