Today marks 6 months since I was a victim of theft and I have some thoughts to share. I rarely watch the news or keep up much with current events but I have received far too many #amberalert messages on my phone lately, and heard of far too many stories of #humantrafficking and murders and theft and #bullying and observed too many children being verbally abused and shamed in public (I can only imagine what happens in their homes)...today I am wishing to live in a world where humans do not abuse, steal from, neglect, shame, kill other humans...where humankind is kind to each other and to the animals and to the earth. I of course see so much good as well but my heart aches for those suffering at the hands of their own kind. I wish that we may lift each other up, encourage one another, love one another... #grownupchristmaslist#stopthehate
There are so many things we can do with our time other than counting calories! ・・・
Calories are our energy and what gets us through the day. ・・・
Not only is counting every calorie we consume boring, but it’s also not 100% accurate. Our body’s are so much more complicated than calories in = calories out! ・・・
Obsessing with #calorie counts is also a risk for developing an eating disorder. And like anything else, obsessing over it is just not mentally healthy. ・・・
So, for those of you who do count calories, can you try taking a break? For one day? One meal? Eat without thoughts about “how much” is in it. Enjoy!
